Household Dynamic

A loving family in Baltimore is seeking an energetic, responsible, and professional nanny to care for their 5-year-old girl, 3-year-old girl, and newborn boy (due in March). The family is looking for someone who is organized, highly reliable, and engaged with the children. Mom has a strong cat allergy, so no cats are allowed in the nanny's household, but the family has no pets. The ideal candidate should be playful, independent, and able to keep the children active and engaged with educational activities. Both older children are potty-trained, and the family values a screen-free environment.

Ideal Candidate

The family is seeking a nanny who is professional, highly reliable, and well-organized. The ideal candidate will be independent, trustworthy, and responsible, with the ability to manage a busy household. They should be playful and engage actively with the children, creating a positive and educational environment. While an early childhood education background is preferred, it is not a requirement. The nanny should also be comfortable with fluctuating hours between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM and have the flexibility to adapt to the family’s needs. As the children have specific dietary needs (lactose intolerance and an allergy to walnuts), the nanny must be comfortable accommodating these and assisting with meal prep. Additionally, the nanny should be comfortable working in a screen-free environment. Responsibilities include:

    • Caring for the 5-year-old girl, 3-year-old girl, and newborn boy

    • Preparing and sanitizing bottles for the newborn

    • Assisting with light meal prep (considering dietary restrictions)

    • Managing children's laundry, clothing inventory, and seasonal clothing organization

    • General home tidying and organization

    • Engaging in educational activities with the children, maintaining a screen-free environment

    • Occasional driving (if nanny has their own car, they must be able to fit three car seats)

    • No weekend work required

Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation (car provided or can use own car if able to fit three car seats)

  • 3+ years of childcare experience preferred but not required

  • Must be responsible, organized, and proactive

  • Must be trustworthy, playful, and highly engaged with the children

  • No cats allowed in the nanny’s home due to allergy (pets are not part of the family environment)

  • Comfortable with fluctuating hours, but no weekends

If you're a professional with a passion for early childhood education (or a love for engaging with children in a meaningful way), we would love to meet you!
