Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (guaranteed 36 hours per week)
*additional hours available for date nights and weekend help if desired
Compensation: $35 - $40 per hour, based on experience
Benefits: The family is offering 2 weeks paid vacation (nanny chooses on week), paid major federal holidays, 5 paid sick days, and a monthly healthcare stipend if needed.

Household Dynamic:
A loving and engaging family in Somerville is seeking a warm, friendly, and communicative nanny to care for their two children, ages 2 years and 8 months. Their oldest enjoys reading, music, books, games and coloring. While their youngest is a happy baby who enjoys music and crawling. The baby is breastfed and when mom is not home will eat a mixture of formula and oatmeal. Both parents work to of the house most of the time but may occasionally work from home in a separate office. The family has two friendly cats, though no pet care is required. The 2-year-old has a peanut and nut allergy, and the family has an epi-pen on hand. The ideal candidate should be vigilant and confident in handling food allergies.
Ideal Candidate:
The family is seeking a nanny who is warm, positive, and calm under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential, and a background in teaching or Montessori is a plus. The nanny should be proactive, organized, and able to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities while maintaining a nurturing atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and loving care to both children
Engage the children in creative and educational activities, including music, reading, and imaginative play
Handle all child-related cleaning, including tidying up after meals, toy cleanup, and sweeping after the kids eat
Maintain an organized and safe environment for the children
Prepare and manage meals, taking allergies into account
Communicate effectively with parents regarding the. children's routines, milestones, and daily activities
Qualifications:
College education preferred
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Minimum of 3 years working with infants and toddlers
Comfortable working in a home where parents may occasionally be present
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain prior to start date)
