Compensation: The family is offering a competitive rate of $28 – $35 per hour.

Benefits: The family will provide benefits including 2 weeks paid vacation (nanny chooses one week), 7 paid sick days, paid major federal holidays, and a healthcare stipend if needed. 

Live-Out: This is a live-out role.

Household Dynamic:

A warm and caring family in Oak Lawn, IL, is seeking an experienced, energetic, and patient nanny to provide full-time care for their 3.5-year-old daughter. The child is Autistic and loves music, sensory activities, and outdoor play. While she has emerging speech, she is not yet fully verbal, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable working with nonverbal communication and supporting her developmental needs. 

Both parents work from home (Dad full-time, Mom one day per week). The family has one small dog, but pet care is not required. Their daughter attends school Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM–11:00 AM, and transportation to and from school is part of the nanny’s responsibilities (a reliable car is required).

Ideal Candidate:

The family is looking for someone who is active, bubbly, open, honest, and patient, with experience working with children with special needs. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach are essential as the candidate will be providing nurturing and engaging care for the child. The candidate’s duties will also include transportation to and from school, child-related laundry, general home tidying/dishes, and grocery pickup. 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant childcare experience; special need experience highly preferred

  • Reliable vehicle and driving record

  • Eligibility to work in the United States

  • Excellent references
