Household Dynamic:
A vibrant and loving family in Winnetka is seeking an energetic, engaging, and reliable nanny to care for their two young children. Both children are active, artistic, strong-willed, and curious, and the family is looking for a nanny who can keep up with their energy while fostering their independence. The children attend school Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM - 3:00 PM, so the nanny will have additional responsibilities while they are out of the house. The family values minimal screen time and would love a nanny who prioritizes interactive and creative play. A car is required for commuting, but the family provides a nanny car for use on the job. The oldest child has a peanut allergy, so the nanny must be comfortable handling an EpiPen if necessary. No pets are in the home, and no travel is required.
Ideal Candidate:
The family is looking for an active, engaging, and nurturing nanny who thrives in a dynamic environment. They seek someone who can "hustle with joy," enjoys spending time outside, and understands positive discipline and boundary-setting. Strong communication, reliability, and trustworthiness are essential. The nanny should also encourage the children’s independence and be firm yet fun in their approach. A Montessori background is a major plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
Picking up children from school
Preparing snacks and meals for the children
Managing children’s laundry and seasonal clothing inventory
Grocery runs and meal prep for the children
Unpacking backpacks and organizing school items
General tidying of the kitchen and dishes
Light home organization projects
Engaging the children in active, creative, and developmentally appropriate activities
Encouraging independence and positive discipline
Qualifications:
Must be energetic, engaging, and proactive
Comfortable managing two young children with strong personalities
Trustworthy, communicative, and reliable
Comfortable with an EpiPen for the oldest child’s peanut allergy
No car needed for work, but must have reliable transportation to get to the job
Montessori experience is a plus, but not required
Candidates must be fully vaccinated
If you are an adventurous, dependable, and fun-loving nanny looking for a wonderful family to support, we would love to hear from you!
