Professional Nanny Needed in Upper West Side

Start: March 2025

Children: two children, 2.5 year old boy, 11 month old girl

Compensation: The family is offering a highly competitive annual salary of $85,000 - $100,000

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with a guaranteed 45 hours per week; occasional weekend hours available but optional 

Benefits: The family will provide benefits including 2 weeks paid vacation (nanny chooses one week), 6 paid sick days, paid major holidays, a healthcare stipend, and annual bonuses and raises

Live-out: This is a live-out role

Relocation: The family is open to relocating the right candidate 

Other Notes: There are two friendly cats in the home, making this a perfect position for a pet lover

Location: Upper West Side, Manhattan, New York

Household Dynamic:

The family is seeking an experienced nanny to care for their two happy, easygoing, and energetic children. The youngest, 11 months old, is already walking and transitioning from formula to baby-led weaning, while the older child, 2.5 years old, is fully potty-trained and attends school from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with plans to expand to five days a week in September. Screen time is rarely allowed unless a child is unwell, and the family values a structured, developmentally enriching environment. A housekeeper comes three days a week to handle deep cleaning.

Ideal Candidate:

The family is looking for a nanny with extensive toddler experience, a positive and professional attitude, and a strong educational background. Spanish language skills are a plus but not required. Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities and supporting their development

  • Children’s laundry and maintaining their wardrobes

  • Meal preparation and light kitchen cleanup

  • Tidying and organizing children’s play areas and shared spaces

  • Running light errands

The family values a nanny with the energy and drive to create a structured and stimulating environment for their children.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a four-year college degree

  • 3+ years of relevant childcare experience

  • Fluency in English (Spanish skills are a bonus but not required)

  • Current on MMR, TDap, and Flu vaccinations (Covid vaccination preferred)

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Pet-friendly

  • A minimum of 3 outstanding childcare references
